Ice fishing has been very productive lately for Panfish, small tungsten jigs tipped with waxies or spikes has been the ticket. Ice is safe on smaller to medium sized lakes in Northwestern Michigan, but some of the larger lakes still have some open water. As always, be cautious and check ice as you go. The extended forecast looks great for ice fishing, lets hope for an extended Winter!

I have quite a few open dates in February for private water Panfish. The perfect cure for cabin fever!

Pictured Above are a couple healthy Bluegills from the past couple days, both were released to keep them in the gene pool! When possible, please release the largest fish and keep the medium sized ones for table fare.
